Wilby Durham (lower left), assistant general manager of the Deseret Newspaper, discusses plans to begin a community outreach program with Dev Jennings, Jack Wilson, and Stan Nelson. The program was aimed to teach both children and adults how to ski free of charge. The Deseret News Ski School started in late 1948 and ran every year for over half a century.
